Celebrity photojournalist Linda Solomon of Metro Detroit started snapping photos at age five with a Kodak Starflash. She never stopped.
Over the years, she's photographed celebrities such as Aretha Franklin, who became a good friend, Tony Bennett, Lee Iacocca, Robert Redford, Paul Newman, Elizabeth Taylor, Barbara Walters, Smokey Robinson, Mary Wilson, Diana Ross, Ray Charles. Her work has appeared in The Detroit News, Free Press and many other newspapers and magazines including People.
She's also the author of six books including: "The Queen Next Door: Aretha Franklin, An Intimate Portrait."
She spoke to Deadline Detroit recently about her experience with celebrities and her career.
