Detroiters love to hear when sports transplants praise the city.

In the latest, Detroit Lions Coach Dan Campbell sings the praises of Detroit in a recent interview on "Talkin' Ball," with Tony Dungy, the former coach and current commentator on NBC Sports.

"I'm from Michigan, grew up a Lions fan. Relatives, friends, all Lions fans and people here love you," Dungy said to Campbell. "Tell me how you connected with not only the team but with the fans here. "

"I was fortunate to play here, lived here for a short amount of time, three years. But so I knew I was well aware of what I was walking into, and kind of had an idea of what we needed to do."

"But this place fits me like a glove. I mean it really does, blue collar, man,  nothing comes easy. You got to work for everything."

Dungy asks: "Is that who youare ?"

"That's who I am coach, that's who I am, that's who I wanted our team to be, and that's who our players are. Yes, they're  talented but really they are blue collar guys, even our stars, man, they work."
